MONEY WORLD
When Taylor Swift joins TIK TOK, the marketing world has gone totally digital. When she a member of the class of 1989 decided to redo her entire catalog, because someone else had the rights to her original recording, you must now understand that as always money talks. Jessica Simpson also reacquired her catalog.
Look at your digital wallet, how much is in it to purchase a TV show from ( Apple TV, Amazon or Disney Plus)?
You don’t have a digital wallet, well then you may not have any cryptocurrency. Like me you may prefer the jingle of coins and reserved notes.
That’s hard to hack , it has to be physically given and taken from you.
Which is why Taylor Swift who owned the copyrights to her songs, recorded “new’ versions of her song catalog. Which takes us to.
MONEY TALKS
The world knows money talks. You see movie stars to pre-teens on Instagram hawking either their own make up or clothes, rarely someone else. And if so, there is always a digital check or charge involved whether for profit or nonprofit.
Recently, a movie that did not do well at the theatres, but I thought was passable and funny for the first hour Queen Pins. This movie had the best song about money by Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Got Your Money.
As imdb.com says its inspired by a true story. The wrap.com covers it better then IMDB or me.
Money talks because if you have followed the Black Widow, Disney and Scar Jo law suit you know that Scar Jo, felt Disney should have paid her up front for any money she lost on streaming.
Now I was never a fan of streaming until well I streamed. It is cheaper then cable, but as you streamers there is not much you are getting for your money. Most movies, TV shows etc. are offered for free on Pluto TV etc., and the movies rotate from paid to unpaid services monthly.
Which takes us to the talking part. Recently on face book a person asked about a non-disclosure agreement for a rewrite editor job on a script. I said they should obtain an attorney and referenced Scar Jo. Now as the top actor/actress in her female category one would assume that Scar Jo, had the best and brightest attorneys who would include a clause that covered unforeseeable Act of God events like Covid 19. After all we survived SARS in 2002 and thrived in relative world stability until November 2019.
But in the end the money talked, the aggrieved parties settled and went on their separate happy lives.
Scar Jo, got a check, Disney got a tax write off and well having read Monster by John Gregory Dunne.
Scar Jo, will never play Black Widow again unless it is a dream sequence and Disney already owns the clips.
Until next time.
Ciao.
