Once upon at an antenna TV station

Once upon at an antenna TV station

I was a television host for a bit on a preproduction show.   I also hosted a TV show, wrote a piece for Halogentv.com and of course was a technical director for one episode.

TV, be it streaming, antenna or the cable version requires two things.

Great characters.

An audience.

Once upon a time when I lived and worked in Boston, I watched Spenser for Hire shoot at Faneuil Hall as I ran for my last before midnight Orange line train.

Then that television crew came in and took over the office of my day job.

Television always has been around me, or I it. So when I have time I try to watch it.

Spenser again on IMDB.com. I prefer four star great television shows.

Westworld and Watchmen

What do critics really know?

West world Season 3

As a fbf said, episode three made her stop.

I don=t like to spoil things, but she was right. Character development requires the WHY

The WHY within a teleplay allows one to decide the fate of a character?  It=s why I wrote the first and second edition of my book Character Within the Screenplay.

In the second edition I focused on the science fiction genre.

Watchmen Season 1

Until what appeared to be a major character was killed off, this appeared to be a great series.  After that egg man song, by episode 4 things had fried up literally.

I’m trying to get my money’s worth, but I’m still stuck ON DISK two.

SO I ordered something else, another “Hopefully great” series Yellowstone. Now some series are great even if they are OFFENSIVE IT’S always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I’ve watched a few of the seasons IASIP, but I paused it when in a 2016 Paley interview one of the major characters said she had a black face wedding portrait placed in HER living abode.

Rewind that thought, Justin Trudeau, kept on trucking, Sarah Silverman too. Jimmy Kimmel took a vacation.  Scarlet Jo, got panned for assuming an Asian character same with Emma Stone.

So what gives with critics, is this okay and that not?  Is dramatic license or stardom a license to do whatever you want to? I’m not famous, well at least not yet, so when these words are dug up, by someone.  Will I say it was a phase or as a writer creative liberty. And remember this in Watchmen; Regina King wears a black mask and makeup.  Ironic, character origins or something else. BLM?

We will see. In any event, its all TV on the antenna, DVD or streaming.  Enjoy it or not.

Ciao

Waiting for Tom Hanks, who zoomed by, missed Constance Wu JLo etc at the other site. TIMING….
