MARKTETING 3

Why do writers create novels?

Well if the story could be told in a short story format it would be easier to be a novelist. More words, less central theme. I believe that some novelists pump out novels like they are McDonald’s hamburgers, same characters, same city, and a different story. Chees burger, hamburger or a Big Mac.

GENRES

Repetitive themes, this happens a lot in the mystery and spy genre. I’ve yet to complete several John Le Carre novels.  The theme is very similar; rogue spy, missing spy, lying, deception etc. The one book I did completely read decades ago was named appropriately The Little Drummer Girl. I saw the movie, the book is better.

REPETITION

It’s done more often in the fantasy and sci fi genres and sometimes the characters change, but the theme remains the same; think John Grisham.   Lawyers,, judges, juries, corruption, justice, and redemption.

Now my goal in writing Bad News Day Blurred Lines Fatima/Iran and part two of the novel

Bad News Day Yoshi/ Natasha was to write something like Call for the Dead By John Le Carre.  Short and to the point.

The novels didn’t sell well, Perhaps it was the Middle Eastern theme, Iran, Canada, etc. My writing and formatting style, or even a COVID 19 blase sale momentum from March to the present day.

This link will take you to the print version part 2.

It doesn’t matter as a writer I push on.

Here is a sample from part one if you choose to read same.

And this link will take you to part one the eBook.

I began this journey when I was editing Siolam a Black Bart Western. I wanted to write something about nuclear arms and Korea, or Iran.  I wasn/t sure about either country.  So I began my research with the nuclear topic.

Then it happened in March of 2015 I was run over by a vehicle while crossing on a green light.

My library books scattered across the pavement.   It was like a cold war novel, when the spy is hit by a zooming car.  Broken leg, incapacitated for several months.

Everything was delayed…  I published Siolam and when able began the research on the third novel.

Writing this book took several years. I had to recoup  lost, money; my mother became ill and died.

Life well gave me a spoon full.

But eventually as the book began to grow and grow it needed to be divided into two parts.

The story is continuous, but separate.  Depending if you care enough about the characters, buy part two.

Now, life is a strange journey, so is fiction. In both books, one the protagonist, or is she really an antagonists has to run, like in the Little Drummer girl. Whose side is Fatima really on? Is she a student, spy or something else.

In any event someone wants her dead.

Here is an eight page sample from the first part if you choose to read same.

Ciao.
